Chakra Exploration: Movement and Meaning
This is an 8 week , 7 class series
on the 7 major Chakras of the human
body.
This class will focus on one chakra each week.
You will begin to get an understanding of the
chakras basics purpose and meaning.
Alex, our new instructress, will delve into some
chant or either a guided meditation on this particular
chakra.
The format of the class will include: prana (breath)
vinyasa (movement)
asana (positions)
chants or guided Meditations
This workshop series will include seven classes that
correspond to the seven major chakras – beginning
with the first chakra the first week and proceeding
through one chakra each week. Each individual class
will open with a brief description of the characteristics
of the chakra for that week, followed by 60-75 minute
vinyasa practice designed to activate that chakra.
Each class will also open with or close with a
20-30 minute additional exploration of the chakra
– either through guided meditation/visualization,
mudra practice, chanting, pranayama, or
mantra work. This series is suited to students
of all levels of experience.
This class is perfect for the yogi who only practiced
positions ( asana). Understanding the chakras will
enable your class to go deeper with greater focus.
This class is also perfect for the beginner, who is just
trying or has never tried Yoga before. It will help you
get a clear idea of all the aspects of yoga. Take what
you need to enrich your practice , leave all the rest.
